Typewriter letterheads

by | Jul 6, 2011 | Stationery | 12 comments

By Cameron’s request, here is the Fox stationery from the Cincinnati type-in, along with some other designs we used. All of these were kindly contributed by Peter Weil. He writes a column for ETCetera, “Ephemera,” all about the cultural history of typewriters as evidenced in photos, advertising, etc. His next column will be about wonderful letterheads like these.

Thanks. I suspect that you're going to be seeing these on several typecasts in the near future. :-)

Nice! These are good for those of us who can never seem to find cool retro stationery.

Very nice! I have a feeling poor Peter Weil will become the next victim of my obsessive questioning, as that cultural and ephemeral subject matter is what most interests me.
But for now I'll just thank you both for providing these cool letterheads.

Dang! The Caligraphic Co. doesn't list Olivers in their inventory! Well, for sure then, I t'ain't about to give 'em my business!

Fantastic! I've got some cream-colored marble patterned paper that these will look great on.

    Thanks Peter & Richard!

These are great, thanks! I agree with Alan that there will soon be a rash of typecasts with these letterheads… well, I certainly won't be left out!

Well, I can't be outdone, can I? I had made some Oliver letterhead for the type-In, but stupidly forgot to bring it to Cincinnati. However, to follow Richard's lead, I've posted the links to the letterhead on my site, Tlogger. Feel free to download it and add it to the collection. And many thanks to Richard and Peter Weil for making the letterhead available!
