    I was thinking an Olivetti just from the green color. But it lacked the red key, so I s'pose not.

    In the second picture, I also thought a bit of a Hermes Baby, later, it resembled of an early Hermes Media. But it isn't really one of them.

    That poor typewriter, ending up in the water! I can only image how stuck the typebars must be now…

    No idea what model it could be; although at times it reminded me of a plastic Japanese-made Silver Reed.

    I wish I could type myself into some of my childhood favorites… but I suppose that would be a whole other sort of plagiarism!

    I love that last line. As for the story, the words that come to mind are: amusing, formulaic and stultifying.
