    It's a part of reality—requiring interpretation, but not opposed to truth.

    Das ist eine Frage! Vielliecht schon. Die 'echtheit' vom Papier ist sicherlich teil des Schreibmaschinen's Anziehungskraft. Ein kleines Zettel oder Brief erfahrt mann doch anders als ein Email.

    Sogar im objectiver Realität gibt es verschiedene Echtheitsstufen – hatte da noch nicht druber nachgedacht … :)

    I wouldn't say so. That would be a misguided way of "taking it in." There are two primary errors, then: either simply insisting that appearances are reality, or rejecting them as utterly unconnected to reality.
